DIY Christmas Decorations!

Its almost Christmas time!

This is defiantly my favorite time of the year. The weather is getting warmer and all the shops start putting out everything for Christmas. I have used the same decorations with a few add on’s for the past two years and this year I wanted to change that up.

I love animal decorations and wanted to add some different textures and colours to my tree so i definitely wanted to get creative and do some DIY decorations. I was looking through Pinterest and found the below link with a very simple and easy idea that i knew i wanted to try.

so doing this for next year!

Pinterest – DIY Gold Christmas animal decorations

Every thing below was just over $30.00 AUS but i will definentle be going to some local op-shops to find some more animals as I love the way they turned out. I also have lots of hooks and spray paint left that I want to use up!

Bunnings – Gold Spray paint  – $20.80 AUS

Bunnings – Gold Hooks – $1.99 AUS

Kmart – Elephant, Hipo & Giraffe – $3.00 AUS each

Job Searching – Interview Outfits

So what a year it has been for me in the work force.

I had been working for a furniture company for almost 5 years and I enjoyed so much about the role. I learnt so much and made some great life long friends however I had learnt all I could and wanted to move onto something different.

I have unfortunately been a little unlucky at successfully receiving full time employment however I now have great experience in the interview process. So I have decided to show  some of my best go to interview looks for office administration rolls.

NOTE: All outfits were found on Pinterest

My Daily Jewelry

When it comes to jewelry I like to keep it simple.

My colours of choice are gold and silver and i am not scared to wear them together.

Pearls are also another favorite of mine and i definitely need more to add to my collection.

I found this watch on Instagram last Christmas and just fell in love. I’m not much of a marble fan however I needed to own this watch and I thought it was a great price.

I have worn this watch every day for almost a year now and it has held up great, I definitely recommend this watch and the brand.

I wear this gold chain religiously, I had always wanted a gold wish bone charm and it took me well over a year to find the perfect one. Unfortunately I am unsure of where i purchased the two separate pieces.

This pearl ring was a birthday present of my mum a few years back. I was on the search for a very plain and simple ring but struggled to find exactly what I wanted so I ended up having the ring custom made at a local jewelers.

Again both of these silver bangles were gifted to me. I wear one on each arm, they are a bit scuffed and dented so they are in much need of an upgrade.

This year I have become obsessed with everything Lavender!

It is the first scent I look for when it comes to candles and moisturizers, the scent is so calming and I cant get enough.

Below are some of my favorite lavender products.

Whats in my Daily Makeup Bag

When it comes to make up I have come to the conclusions that I am defiantly a creature of habit. When I find something that works I stick to it!

I am defiantly looking to upgrade some items which i will list at the end, however I do like to finish a product before purchasing something new, Enjoy!

Bag: Target $10.00 AUS

I do change up my makeup bag pretty often as I like it to look nice and clean however as time goes on they do manage to get bigger and bigger.

Sponges and Brushes:

Real Techniques sponges – Large Sponge – $17.00 AUS

Nude by Nature – 7 Brush Set – $39.95 AUS

Real Techniques sponges

I purchased all these brushed on ebay

Brushes from Nude by nature and Chanel

Primer: Mecca Cosmetica – Fresh Faced Hydrating Primer – $40.00 AUS

This primer is nothing special however it does have a small amount of shimmer in it which adds a bit of life in my face as my foundation is pretty mat.

Foundation: Hourglass – Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick – $67.00 AUS

I love this foundation, i can make it look very natural or build it up if needed. The colour match is also perfect! I use the shade warm ivory.

Concealer: Maybelline – Master Concealer – $15.95 AUS

This is a new purchase and my new favorite drug store concealer, very thick but very bendable. I use the shade light.

Setting Spray: Mecca Cosmetica – All Set Makeup Perfecting Mist – $35.00 AUS

Again this spray is nothing special and i will not be purchasing again however it gets the job done.

Powder: Maybelline – Shine Free Loose Powder – $16.95 AUS

This product is pretty impressive however I don’t like how flimsy the lid is, I always get scared the lid will come off ruin my makeup bag and mess everything up. I use the shade light.

Bronzer: Mecca Max – Sunlit Skin Bronzing Powder – $22.00 AUS

This is a great product, it is a great colour for my skin tone and very bendable and buildable

Blush: Too Faced – Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer – $44.00 AUS

I have had this compact for over a year now and use it pretty much every day. I originally used it as a highlight however now most of the light colours have been used it is best suited for a bronzed blush colour.

Essence – Satin Touch Blush – $5.10 AUS

All I can say is this is soooo pigmented.

Highlighter: Samantha Jade for Models Prefer All Of The Lights Palette – Stockist: Priceline $17.99 AUS

This is just as good if not better than any high end higligh pallet., great value for money.

Eyebrows: Hourglass – Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil – $49.00 AUS

This is my go to eyebrow product and has been for 3 years now. I don’t think I will every change.

Mascara: NYX –  The Skinny Mascara – $7.00 AUS

As I get eyelash extensions I only put mascara on my lower lashes. My bottom lashes are really short and sparse so this mascara is perfect especially as i dont end up having mascara all over my skin!

My Next Planed Purchases:

Hourglass – Ambient® Lighting Palette – $90.00 AUS

Too Faced – Hangover Primer – $46.00 AUS

Too Faced – Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer – $44.00 AUS

Adopting our Greyhound Bert

This is the story of how we got my Berty!

I have always grown up with small dogs and was never interested in ever getting a larger dog let alone a greyhound. I had always though larger dogs would be more work and to high maintenance, that was until the beginning of 2016.

Me and my boyfriend both wanted to get a dog however we were undecided on what breed. We ended up both deciding it would be best for us to adopt a dog and so we started the search.

We went to a few different shelters which was honestly really hard for me to do. To see all these dogs just wanting to find a home it would break my heart every time we went. One day my boyfriend was looking on one of the shelters pages and came across a beautiful dog called Albert who happened to be a greyhound. That weekend we went in to see him and get a bit of a run down. We got to spend some time with Albert and he was the sweetest kind hearted dog i had ever meet. Unfortunately he suffered from major anxiety and unfortunately as we were both full time workers we we were unable to provide him with constant company that he needed. However after meeting Albert we knew that a greyhound was the perfect breed for us.

We researched local greyhound adoption groups and came across GAP Victoria (Greyhound Adoption Program) that find homes for old racing dogs. We registered with them and were send a list of around 5 dogs that would be best suited with us and that was the fist time we saw Bert.

That weekend we went to their Baxter shelter and meet Bert and he was perfect! We spent around an hour with him and fell in love.

First Day with Bert

It took Bert around 3 months to fully become comfortable with his new surroundings, us and to create a routine. He was defiantly always going to be an inside dog and lucky for us he was already house trained. He pretty much had to learn how to be a pet, he didn’t know how to play and even had to learn how to walk on the hard wood floors.

I have the biggest love for Bert and I cant imagine my life with out him.
